Sarah and Victoria will be restarting and expanding the DEFY Project (Deaf Experiences for Future Years), which was started in 2018 at Western PA School for the Deaf. Young adults with hearing loss often struggle with integrating into their communities. To address this, Sarah and Victoria will work with 16- to 21-year-old students as they begin their transition post-graduation. Their project will focus on developing skills, conducting group sessions, and working with students to navigate real-life situations and experiences.
